چکیده

Objective: To assess the diagnostic efficacy of Bishop Score and Transvaginal Ultrasonography (TVS) in predicting successful labor induction primigravida women a peri-urban population Islamabad. Additionally, study aimed to evaluate effectiveness combining predictions from both methods enhance accuracy induction. Methodology: A prospective comparative was conducted at Departments Obstetrics Gynecology, Rawal Institute Health Sciences, Farooq Hospital, Islamabad, December 2021 2022. total 520 pregnant, undergoing were included, they randomly divided into two groups for assessment using either or ultrasonography. The outcome interest documented as initiation active within 24 hours. each method validated separately jointly, predictive all three predictors compared. Results: demonstrated that TVS individually effective (p<0.00001 methods). outperformed several key measures, such F1 Score. However, significantly improved positive negative values (by more than 10% metric), resulting reliable prediction. Conclusion: Both are Pakistan. While showed significant quantitative advantages over Score, yielded even better performance, suggesting together should be prioritized

Transvaginal sonographic measurement of cervical length vs. Bishop score in labor induction at term: tolerability and prediction of Cesarean delivery.

OBJECTIVES To compare transvaginal sonography for cervical length measurement and digital examination for Bishop score assessment in women undergoing labor induction at term, to assess their tolerability (in terms of pain) and ability to predict need for Cesarean delivery. METHODS A prospective study was performed on 249 women admitted for labor induction. Cervical length was measured using t...
